At approximately 8:45 AM Vanessa Thompson appeared and performed live, in studio, on the KISS FM 106.1 Jackie and Bender morning show. The Jackie and Bender morning show is a premier morning show not only beemed over the airwaives but also steemed as a live feed on the internet world wide. Vanessa's appearance on the Jackie and Bender show is a testiment to her medioric rise as a newly released artist by Butterfly Music Productions. She displayed great poise and talent as she mixed it up with Jackie and Bender and performed the new song "Why" from her recently released album self titled "Vanessa". April 10, 2008: Vanessa Thompson dazzeled the VIP's at the Shobox SODO VIP Lounge in Seattle
Vanessa Thompson performed at the Shobox SODO for the "Couture Underground, the Annual Premier Fashion Show of the Pacific Northwest by the Seattle Art Institute. Vanessa Thompson performed for the annual fashion show, put on as an exclusive event in the Pacific Northwest for the fashion industry. This event was hosted by the Seattle Shobox SODO April 10, 2008. The doors opened at 7 PM and Vanessa performed from 7:30 to 8:00 PM in the VIP lounge for the VIP attendees. Vanessa performed some cover songs and some songs from her soon to be released CD "Vanessa". After the show Vanessa had her CD "Baby This Love" and other products for sale. She was also available to sign autographs and take photos with her fans. The event was a hugh success and Vanessa's performance made a significant contribution to this upscale premier event.
November 9, 2007: Vanessa Thompson Rocks Key Arena at the Seattle Supersonics Basketball Game
Tonight Vanessa rocked the Key Arena for the pre-game and half time shows. Vanessa's powerful voice filled the area with music that captured the ears and hearts of the many sonics and Vanessa fans. The roar of the crowds and their interaction with Vanessa's performance showed how grateful the fans were. The pre-game show went for approximately one and a half hours up to game time and the half time show went for approximately fifteen minutes. Vanessa performed several cover songs as well as some of the songs from her first CD "Baby This Love" and a couple piano versions of songs from her new album expected to be released in the near future.
Vanessa was also available during the game to sign autographs and other products for the fans. Vanessa was extremely grateful for the incredible response from the fans. Vanessa will be singing the national anthem in the Key Arena, for the Seattle Supersonics on November 23, 2007.
September 13, 2007: Vanessa Thompson Opens For The Beach Boys
This evening Vanessa Thompson was the opening act for the Beach Boys at the Tulalip Amphitheatre in Marysville, Washington. The Tulalip Amphitheatre is an awesome venue for both the performers and the audience, being a well designed, intimate setting. There was not a bad seat in the Amphitheatre. Vanessa and The Beach Boys were introduced by the talented Mark Christopher of KBSG 97.3 FM/1210 AM. She performed before a packed house of thousands of fans there to enjoy an evening with Vanessa and The Beach Boys. Vanessa opened with a song by Aretha Franklin "You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman" and then sang a piano version of a song that will be on her up coming Album, to be release in the fall of this year "Why". She then sang a song from her current Album "Baby This Love" called "Never Gonna Let You Go" and closed with a song by Kelly Clarkson "Because Of You". There was a packed house and the thousands of fans roared with approval as Vanessa showed them how passionate she can be with her music. Of course, as always, The Beach Boys were awesome and after her performance, Vanessa signed autographs and took photos with many of her fans.
September 3, 2007: Vanessa Thompson Has Booth And Makes Appearances At The Evergreen State Fair
Today Vanessa Thompson completed her twelve day stay at booth #337 at the Evergreen State Fair. Throughout the duration of the fair Vanessa made numerous appearances to interact with her fans, sign autographs and take photos with the many fair attendees who wanted to have something to make this years stay at the fair memorable for them and take home some memorabilia. The Evergreen State Fair is a first class operation and one of the major fairs in the Pacific Northwest and it was a pleasure for Vanessa to be a part of this great experience for many of the fair goers in attendance. One particular fair goer was particularly memorable for Vanessa. There was a little girl, probably about ten or eleven years old who had won a pink stuffed animal and after meeting Vanessa and getting her autograph want to give something to Vanessa and insisted on giving Vanessa her precious little pink stuffed animal. Vanessa suggested that she might like to keep the stuffed animal for herself; however, the young lady insisted the Vanessa accept the stuffed animal after signing the tag for her almost bringing Vanessa to tears. Vanessa said that it is moments like this that reminds you how precious children really are. Vanessa is grateful to the many fans who attended the fair just to see and support her and those who discovered her for the first time and stopped by to say hello. September 1, 2007: Live Performance At The Seattle Premium Outlet Mall
Today Vanessa Thompson performed live in the open food court area of the Seattle Premium Outlet Mall from noon to five PM. She performed piano versions of several of the songs that will be on her upcoming Album to be released this fall. She also performed some cover songs and signed autographs and took photographs for numerous fans. This was a real treat for all the back to school shoppers. Many shoppers and fans took the opportunity to purchase her CD "Baby This Love", posters and other products that are available on her website; however, in person they do not have to pay extra for autographed merchandise. The crowds were large and the applause was long and heart felt. Vanessa looks forward to future opportunities to perform, meet and greet her current and future fans at other up coming events, yet to be announced. Stay tuned.
August 11, 2007: Photo Shoot
Vanessa Thompson has just completed a photo shoot with renowned photographer, Chris Hollaway of Pro Photo at http://www.prophotofix.com/. Chris flew in from Jefferson City Missouri just to do a photo shoot of Vanessa for her upcoming CD and other media related promotions. The shoot was a huge success and there will be numerous photos from the shoot that will surface in the near future in relationship to Vanessa and her upcoming album release and other media outlets. Butterfly Music Productions is extremely excited about the quality of Chris's photography and how it presents Vanessa and her music. Stay tuned.
August 4, 2007: Live Performance Seattle Premium Outlet Mall
Today from noon to 5 PM Vanessa Thompson performed live at the Seattle Premium Outlet Mall, in Marysville, Washington next to the Tulalip Casino, in the open food court area for thousands of back to school shoppers looking for bargains. Vanessa sang piano versions of songs from her next and upcoming album to be released in the next few months, singed autographs and sold her CD "Baby This Love" as well as posters and other products. Many fans had come from great distances to her perform some of the songs from her upcoming CD live, as well as numerous others from the local area and of course those who were just out for a day at the Seattle Premium Outlet Mall looking for bargains were greeted with an unexpected treat. The fans and shoppers were very excited and pleased with Vanessa's live performance. There was also a special treat for one group of about thirty people who were celebrating the seventeenth birthday of one of their group and were ecstatic when Vanessa sang happy birthday to the birthday boy.
July 14, 2007: Marysville Starbucks Store - Grand Opening
This afternoon from 2PM to 4PM Vanessa Thompson, a Starbucks Partner, performed live for the grand opening of the new Starbucks store #11157 located at 3725 116th Street NE, Marysville Washington 98271, managed by Sabrina Edwards. This is the first of it's kind, pre-fab Starbucks store, built off site and brought to the location in three completed sections. The opening was a great success and testament to a first class operation by Sabrina and the Starbucks Corporation. As a Starbucks partner, Vanessa enjoys her employment at Starbucks and was thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to such a significant event. The response to her live performance was incredible and she signed autographs and took pictures with some of the fans who were there to hear her sing and enjoy the ambiance and coffee of Starbucks best. Vanessa looks forward to other opportunities to contribute to future Starbucks events.
May 31, 2007: Butterfly Music Productions Enters Into Agreement With 57th St. Productions For Vanessa's Next CD
Butterfly Music Productions officially enters into an agreement with 57th Street Productions to produce, sequence and complete Vanessa Thompson's second CD. This will be a full length CD with twelve songs and possibly a bonus track or two. This will be a pop CD with a slight blend of blues and Christian. It is anticipated that this CD will be released some time in September of 2007. Most of the songs have been written and composed by Vanessa Thompson with the exception of some songs written especially for Vanessa by Jim Thompson and one song that was written by Jim and Vanessa together. These songs have all been written and composed with passion and a story to reveal. Certainly, you will enjoy this CD when it is released. Stay Tuned!
February 3, 2007: Vanessa Sings National Anthem For UW/WSU Basketball Game
Vanessa sang the National anthem for the University of Washington Huskies Basketball team for their home game with their cross state rivals the Washington State University Cougars on February 3, 2007. The house was packed with about eight thousand screaming fans from both sides of the mountains in attendance. The crowd response was awesome and as the anthem drew to a close they brought down the house. This was a very special event for Vanessa, as she had graduated from high school with many of these fans of both the UW Huskies and the WSU Cougars.
January 23, 2007: Detailed Work Begins On Vanessa's Next CD
Vanessa is currently working on her second CD. This will be a full length CD with twelve to sixteen songs, written and composed by Vanessa Thompson and Jim Thompson. A lot of work goes into each of these songs at different levels before the finished product gets to you. For Vanessa this is a labor of love. She only hopes that you enjoy listening to her music as much as she has enjoyed creating it.
December 31, 2006: Vanessa Sings National Anthem For The Everett Silvertips hockey team
Vanessa sang the National anthem for the Everett Silver Tips hockey team at the Everett Event Center, in Everett, Washington on December 30, 2006. There was a packed house with over 8500 fans in attendance. She received a tremendous response. Her next performance will be to sing at the Everett Silvertips game February 3, 2007. They will be playing a Canadian hockey team and Vanessa will be singing both the American and Canadian national anthems.
When not working on her music and performing, Vanessa works at a local Starbucks store. When she sings at the February 3, 2006 Everett Silvertips game all the employees from her store will be in attendance. They are bringing in employees from other stores to cover shifts so they can all be there. That’s what we call a dedicated work force. Cup of coffee, anyone!

Vanessa will be singing the National Anthem at hockey games for the Everett Silvertips. She has preformed for the Everett Silvertips hockey team in previous seasons and enjoys performing there as well as what is always a great game. Dates will be released soon.
